The Association of Christian Truckers Ministry (ACT) is a 501 (c 3) non-profit organization dedicated to ministering to the needs of the truck drivers, and their families, that drive the highways of the United States of America.
We are located in Illinois at I-70 and US 40, exit 68 (Brownstown Illinois exit). 32 miles west of Effingham Illinois and six miles east of Vandalia Illinois, 2/10 of a mile on the north side of the interstate. The 34 acre site features a lighted, paved parking lot that has enough spaces for 50 trucks, FREE laundry facility, shower room, and a trucker’s lounge that is open 24 hours a day. There are FREE coffee and snacks available as well as preparation of a meal if the driver is hungry. The Driver can take a walk on the grounds, or get in a game of chess, checkers or horseshoes.
The Chapel/ All Purpose Room, is available to drivers for special events on a donation basis. Truckers Jamboree’s are held two times a year with emphasis on fellowship, testimonies, songs, and evening meetings and, of course, lots of food.
Chapel Services are held every Sunday morning and a Bible Study is held every Thursday evening. If a driver is not able to be here for those times, the chaplains will meet and minister with the driver any time they come in.
Chaplains live on site and are available 24 hours a day. They are ex-drivers themselves and can relate to the difficulties that drivers deal with on a daily basis. If you have need for prayer, counseling, or just want to talk about the daily stress of your day, we are here for you.
ACT is operated by donations only, so if you believe in the importance of this ministry and want to see drivers refreshed, equipped and excited to minister to other drivers about our Savior, Jesus Christ, please support this work. If you would like to volunteer some time to the ministry, contact us.
God loves you, and hope to see you real soon!
