Newsletter September 2016

We are excited about what Jesus
is doing in the world today!

Greetings to all of you!

Are you making plans to attend our Fall Truckers Jamboree? It’s going to be here before you know it. October 6-9, 2016.  Even if you truck drivers have to work during that time, please stop in on your 30 minute break, or 10 hour break to experience some great teaching and music.

Our Bible Verses/Theme for this jamboree is Hebrews 12: 1 & 2. These verses remind us to lay aside all the sin that easily snares us and to look to our Savior, Jesus Christ, who has given us the power to overcome sin thru what he endured on the cross and His resurrection.

The schedule is full of great speakers and singers. The band, Love is a Motion, from Fargo ND will lead our worship time, and will also be in concert on Friday afternoon at 1:00PM.   The local gospel quartet, Fourgivenwill be in concert on Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM.  A country/blues band, Robert Fudge and Company, will be in concert on Saturday at 1:00 PM. They are coming from Desoto Missouri area to play for us. Bob Carnat, from BAM Ministries in Michigan will be with us again this jamboree, and Richard Stonefingers Johnson kicks off the jamboree with his unique instruments and music at 1:00PM Thursday. A biker ministry, Armour Bearers Ministries, Intl, John Harris, will be speaking on Saturday at 10:00AM.  We have several truck drivers set up to give their testimonies, local pastors leading Bible Studies, and early morning devotions. This is just a sample of the great music and speakers we have planned for our daily schedules.

Our evening services start at 7:00PM and are open to the community to attend. The speakers include myself, Chaplain Dock Hinman on Thursday evening, Pastor Mel Weaver from Grace Chapel in Elizabethtown PA is on Friday night, and Pastor Mark Hewett from BAM Ministries, Sioux Fall SD, is speaking of Saturday night. We also have a 10 AM Sunday Morning chapel service. Chaplain Clyde Searfoss will be speaking.  An offering for ACT will be taken at these services.

As always, we have great meals planned for the jamboree, thanks to our cooks, Cheryl Searfoss, Natasha Henderson, and Mary Hinman, as well as several tireless volunteers. We will be having desserts after the evening services.

We hope you plan to attend. May God bless you and keep you until we meet again!

In HIS Service,

Chaplain Dock Hinman
