Hello to all our Drivers, Family, Friends, and Supporters of this Ministry.
Our Spring Truckers Jamboree is almost here! May 31 – June 3. Our scripture theme for the jamboree is I John 4:18-19 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us”. The schedule is full of great speakers and singers. Please stop in for your 30 minute break, 10 hour, or your full 34 restart to experience some great fellowship and teaching with other drivers.
We will also have great food that will be served three times a day made by our fabulous cooks and volunteers. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 (Thursday – Saturday) right after a morning devotional. Lunch is at Noon (Wednesday – Saturday), and Dinner is at 5 (Wednesday – Friday). Our evening service starts at 7 with dessert served afterwards.
The Jamboree evening service speakers are: Wednesday, Mr. Ed Hart, President and Owner of Safeway Moving Systems, Indianapolis Indiana; Thursday, Pastor Phil Derstine, Senior Pastor of Family Church and Christian Retreat Center in Bradenton Florida; Friday, Pat Bayman of Truckers for Jesus Ministry from St Mary Ohio. Worship time before the evening services will be led by John Skorski from the Family Church in Bradenton Florida.
We are privileged to have the singing duo of McKay Project with us. They will be singing while we eat our dinner on Thursday and Friday and again on Saturday morning. You might have heard their music on a RIG Ministry’s CD. Here is a link to their website if you want more information on them and listen to their music. https://www.reverbnation.com/mckayproject
We received a letter of recognition from Trucker Path in April. For those of you who are not familiar with Trucker Path, it is a cell phone application for truck drivers to find a safe stopping place that is closest to them so they get the most out of their driving time that they can legally drive in a day. The letter states that due to the positive responses and comments from drivers that have used our facility, we are ranked in the top 10 of the best places to stop out of the 4000 independent truck stops identified thru Trucker Path. We feel this is a huge accomplishment and it speaks volumes of the drivers who stop here and post their comments about our ministry. Thank You Jesus, for this recognition and we give all our praise to you for the open door this app has given us speak with drivers about your grace and love.
There is a lot happening here at ACT. We covet your prayers for this ministry and also for what your commitment to this ministry should be. Please ask God to reveal to you what your part should be in meeting the needs we have here. We are so excited to see this ministry growing and meeting the needs of all the drivers who us I-70 for their travels. Please help in any way you can.
Our ministry will be represented at two truck shows this summer. The first one is at the Walcott Iowa, I-80 Trucker Jamboree on July 13-15. Mark Hewett and Clyde Searfoss will be at the booth. We are currently looking for booth options and will give out more information as it come available. Mark Hewett and I plan to be representing ACT at this show.
We have a couple of projects we would like to accomplished this summer. We would like to repaint the main ministry building, and we would like to reseal more of the parking lot so the surface does not deteriorate beyond repair. If you want to donate to either of these projects, please state it on your check or on our donation envelope.
